Medical services are provided by independently contracted, licensed, board-certified Nurse Practitioners. Each provider exercises independent clinical judgment in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients. LoDo Pain provides non-clinical administrative and operational support services only.

Independent providers evaluate adult patients experiencing chronic pain conditions. Treatment eligibility and appropriateness are determined solely by the licensed provider based on clinical assessment, medical history, and professional judgment.

Medication management is individualized for each patient. Providers assess medical history, prior treatments, functional goals, and safety considerations before developing a treatment plan. Plans may be adjusted over time based on clinical response and ongoing evaluation.

Treatment decisions, including whether medication is appropriate, are determined solely by the provider after a comprehensive clinical evaluation. A prescription is not guaranteed. Providers follow evidence-based guidelines and responsible prescribing standards when making treatment decisions.

When clinically appropriate, independently contracted providers may prescribe medications in accordance with applicable laws, professional guidelines, and their medical judgment. Providers emphasize safety, functional improvement, and responsible prescribing practices.

Not all patients are candidates for controlled medications.

Providers may implement monitoring protocols, including PDMP review and drug screening, when clinically appropriate and consistent with applicable regulations. Monitoring decisions are made at the discretion of the treating provider as part of responsible medication management.

Most patients are expected to attend regular, in-office follow-up visits. The frequency of visits is determined by the provider based on clinical needs, medication type, and safety considerations.

Care is primarily delivered through in-office visits. Telemedicine appointments may be offered on a limited, case-by-case basis at the provider’s discretion when clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable law.

Appointment policies are outlined during intake. Continued treatment is dependent on adherence to the provider’s care plan, including attendance, monitoring requirements, and medication agreements when applicable.

Independent providers supported by LoDo Pain operate under a self-pay model for professional services. Provider visits and medication management services are not billed to insurance and are the patient’s financial responsibility.

Insurance may be used separately for prescriptions, laboratory services, imaging, or referrals when applicable. Coverage for those services is determined by the patient’s individual insurance plan.

Administrative staff can provide information regarding current self-pay rates and payment policies prior to scheduling.
